CVE-2026-86303Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Parser crash via unchecked end-pointer dereference

Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in 92181 markdown allows remote attackers to crash parsers with crafted files ending in a newline. After psr advances the buffer pointer to the exclusive end, lds dereferences that pointer without first checking it against the input boundary. Exposure requires a consuming application to parse attacker-controlled markdown; the demonstrated fault reads one byte past the heap allocation and can terminate the process.
