Unauthenticated memory corruption via Option 125 copy
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-822A A_101 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through a crafted DHCP Option 125 packet. The udhcpcd code in serverpacket.c passes attacker-controlled TR-111 suboption data to strcpy without checking the destination buffer length. The packet must reach the router's DHCP service; successful exploitation corrupts the udhcpcd stack and can interrupt service or redirect execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
