Unauthenticated command execution via DHCP Hostname injection
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Command injection in D-Link DIR-895L A1_102b07 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted DHCP Hostname. The udhcpcd sendACK function in udhcpcd/serverpacket.c fails to neutralize command syntax in the Hostname argument before command execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the router.
