Sensitive-data exposure via cleartext SQL dump
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Credential exposure in SourceCodester Syllabus-Aligned Learning Management & Examination System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data. The distributed cict_portal.sql dump stores a super-admin password as unevaluated PHP text and exposes student records and shared password hashes. Anyone who obtains the publicly distributed source package can recover the embedded credential and personal data; database compromise additionally requires network access to an exposed MySQL service.
