CVE-2026-86260Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via unverified password reset

Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Unverified password change in sfturing hosp_order at commit 627f426331da8086ce8fff2017d65b1ddef384f8 allows remote attackers to take over accounts. The findPassword handler stores the email-selected user in session after mail delivery, but updatePassword treats that session object as authorization without checking the reset code. Knowledge of a registered email address and a session in which mail sending succeeds is sufficient to set a new password and then authenticate as that account.
