CVE-2026-86255Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded date iteration

Published Sep 6, 2026 · Updated Sep 6, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in wger before 2.5 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through oversized routine ranges. The Routine model and serializer accept unbounded start-to-end intervals, and date_sequence loops once per day while expanding related data. Any registered user can repeatedly invoke affected routine detail endpoints, occupying worker threads and making the application unresponsive to legitimate users.
