CVE-2026-86242Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via remote plugin loading

Published Sep 6, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

Code injection in Maxim AI Bifrost before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through an unauthenticated plugin request. The shared-object loader downloads an HTTP plugin path to a temporary .so, passes it to plugin.Open, and immediately invokes its optional Init function. Code execution requires a compatible dynamically linked Linux or macOS build and disabled management authentication; the official static image is limited to server-side request forgery.
