Server crash via unbounded LoginPacket property logging
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in PMMP PocketMine-MP before 5.41.1 allows remote attackers to crash servers via crafted LoginPackets. The LoginPacket handler logs unknown clientData JWT values with var_export, serializing attacker-controlled nested or massive structures without a size limit. Publicly reachable servers require no authenticated session, and successful exploitation exhausts memory and interrupts the server process.
