CVE-2026-86196Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via Host-poisoned reset links

Published Sep 5, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

Authentication bypass in GetGrav Grav API Plugin before 1.0.20 allows remote attackers to take over accounts through poisoned reset links. ResolvesAdminBaseUrl::resolveAdminBaseUrl() uses Uri::rootUrl(true), which derives its allowlist seed and fallback from HTTP_HOST by default. The victim must follow the emailed link; the exposed token then permits a password reset, including for a super-admin account.
