CVE-2026-86181Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unencoded last-name profile data

Published Sep 6, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Stored XSS in Code Projects Task Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted last name. The UpdateUserProfile.php endpoint stores HTML or JavaScript from the lname profile field and later renders it without contextual output encoding. A valid user session and a later page view are required; the payload runs in the viewer's application origin and can alter content or issue actions through that session.
