Privilege escalation via missing task-action authorization
Published Sep 5, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Pterodactyl Panel before 1.14.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute game-server console commands. StoreTaskRequest authorizes task creation using only schedule.update and does not require the permission mapped to the submitted command, power, or backup action. A subuser who can update schedules can create and immediately run tasks that issue console commands, alter server power state, or create backups.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
