Unauthenticated database manipulation via unparameterized category ID
Published Sep 6, 2026 · Updated Sep 6, 2026
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Voting System 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter database data through the delete_category ID parameter. The ajax.php action handler inserts the attacker-controlled ID directly into the category deletion query without parameter binding or SQL metacharacter neutralization. No authentication or user interaction is required, and crafted values can read, change, or delete application database records.
