Unauthenticated settings deletion via unguarded AJAX callback
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Missing authorization in Devozon Fense Proxy & VPN Blocker 3.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete plugin settings via AJAX. The fense_bpvt_save_settings callback accepts unauthenticated requests without a capability or nonce check and unconditionally deletes four options and three transients. No account or user interaction is required; exploitation resets the API key and data cache and forces state to be fetched again.
