CVE-2026-86135Network attack vector

Denial of service via unauthorized snapshot creation

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in WatchGuard Dimension 2.0 through 2.3.0 allows remote attackers to create database snapshots without consent. The snapshot creation endpoint accepts a state-changing request carried by an authenticated administrator's browser without verifying administrator intent. Repeated requests accumulate snapshot files until disk exhaustion degrades performance, destabilizes the system, or denies service.
