Unauthenticated VPN disruption via IKEv2 integer underflow
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Integer underflow in WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. Fireware OS iked allows remote attackers to crash VPN processing with an IKEv2 message. The daemon mishandles a crafted encrypted IKEv2 message after AES-GCM negotiation; the precise arithmetic and code path have not been published. An exposed IKEv2 service that negotiates AES-GCM is required, and the documented consequence is an iked crash rather than arbitrary code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=12.0 <12.12.3
