Traffic disruption via tunneled fragment out-of-bounds write
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Arista VeloCloud Edge and Gateway allows remote authenticated users to temporarily disrupt traffic. The VCMP fragment-processing path writes beyond a buffer while handling specifically malformed tunneled IP fragments, terminating and restarting the edged or gwd process. Exploitation requires an authenticated VCMP tunnel to a malicious Edge and causes only a temporary restart-related interruption, not data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
