Unauthorized SSL VPN access via SAML authorization bypass
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Improper authorization in WatchGuard Fireware OS allows remote authenticated users to gain unauthorized Mobile VPN with SSL access. The SAML login process accepts a specially crafted request from an Access Portal-only user without enforcing the separate SSL VPN authorization boundary. Exploitation requires valid SAML credentials and Access Portal access; the reported consequence is unauthorized VPN connectivity, not device administration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
