Attendance approval via cross-site request forgery
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Cybrosys Technologies Horilla HRMS before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to approve attendance requests. The approve_validate_attendance_request handler accepts GET requests and saves approval flags, pending-request state, and the acting manager without CSRF validation. Exploitation requires a logged-in manager with attendance-change permission to follow a top-level request carrying the manager's session cookie, causing an approval attributed to that manager.
