Authenticated host command execution via evaluated Docker options
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Command injection in Dokku before 0.38.25 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands via stored Docker options. The docker-options plugin stores untrusted strings that build, deploy, or run operations concatenate into DOCKER_ARGS and process with Bash eval, interpreting embedded command substitutions. Exploitation requires app-level Dokku access and SSH permission to execute docker-options commands; resulting host commands run with the dokku operating-system user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
