CVE-2026-85971Hinoki check available

Log disclosure and tampering via permissive file permissions

Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026

Log-file permission errors in Progress MarkLogic Server allow local users to read or alter log data through local file access. The logging subsystem assigns overly broad operating-system permissions in 11.x releases before 11.3.7 and 12.x releases before 12.1.0. Exploitation requires access to affected files; existing logs retain their permissions when the defaults for newly created and rotated logs change.
