File disclosure and SSRF via default entity resolution
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
XXE in Progress MarkLogic Server allows attackers to read local files or cause server-side requests via crafted XML. Affected 11.x releases before 11.3.7 and 12.x releases before 12.1.0 resolve external entities by default in multiple XML-processing paths rather than restricting attacker-supplied references. Exploitation requires crafted XML to reach an affected parser; the inspected vendor material does not identify the specific paths or their authentication requirements.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
