Unauthorized access via improper OAuth token acceptance
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
OAuth validation in Progress MarkLogic Server allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized access by presenting an unacceptable token. Its OAuth token validator accepts a token that the server should reject, but the public record does not identify the failed validation check. The issue affects the 11.x branch before 11.3.7 and the 12.x branch before 12.1.0 when OAuth authentication is configured; no data-disclosure or service-interruption capability is documented.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
