Sandbox escape via UI use-after-free
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Use after free in Google Chrome's UI before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to escape the renderer sandbox via crafted HTML. Chrome's UI code accesses an object after its lifetime has ended, but the restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the object, function, or trigger sequence. Exploitation requires a compromised renderer process and user interaction with the crafted page, after which code can execute outside the renderer sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
