Server crash via stale cursor-array references
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
MariaDB Server 12.3.1 through 12.3.2 and 13.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server via SYS_REFCURSOR use-after-free. Cursor-array growth relocates elements while sp_instr_copen_by_ref::exec_core() retains pointers to their freed locations during nested routine execution. Low-privileged access is sufficient; remote code execution requires another vulnerability in the exploitation chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
