Memory disclosure via unchecked MultiPolygon header advancement
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
Buffer over-read in MariaDB Server ST_Area allows remote authenticated users to read memory via malformed MultiPolygon data. The MultiPolygon parser advances past a nested geometry header without checking that enough input remains, causing reads beyond the allocated buffer. Low-privileged database access is sufficient; disclosed memory assists ASLR bypass in a multi-vulnerability chain rather than independently establishing code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
