CVE-2026-85717Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Credential disclosure via cross-origin realm fallback

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026

Credential exposure in Async Http Client 2.14.5 through 2.16.0 and 3.0.9 through 3.0.11 allows remote attackers to obtain realm credentials. The Interceptors authentication path falls back to the client configuration after redirect handling clears the per-exchange realm, so a cross-origin target returning 401 receives Basic or Digest credentials or a Negotiate or NTLM token. Exposure requires redirect following and a client-wide Realm; per-request realms are stripped correctly, with no reported integrity or availability impact.
