Information disclosure via raw API exception messages
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Information exposure in LightRAG before 1.5.5 allows remote attackers to read server details through crafted API requests. Error handlers in document_routes.py, graph_routes.py, query_routes.py, ollama_api.py, and lightrag_server.py place raw exception text in HTTP response detail fields. The default unauthenticated server configuration exposes paths, database connection metadata, provider diagnostics, and library internals to any network client that can trigger an error.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
