Restricted PDF disclosure via membership-only authorization
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Documenso 2.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted PDFs through the file route. The checkEnvelopeFileAccess helper approves any current team member without applying the envelope visibility map, while createEnvelope accepts a documentDataId without validating ownership. A low-privilege team account is required; members can read higher-role documents, and a foreign data identifier enables cross-tenant disclosure.
