Unauthenticated SSRF via unvalidated multimodal media URLs
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
SSRF in ModelScope ms-swift 4.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read internal resources through crafted multimodal media URLs. The swift/template/vision_utils.py load_file function passes any HTTP(S) media path to session.get without destination validation and follows redirects. A network-reachable swift deploy multimodal API is sufficient because its default bind address exposes the service and api_key=None disables authentication; returned media can disclose internal services or cloud metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
