Server file disclosure via unconfined skill source
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Path traversal in ModelScope AgentScope 2.0.7.post1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose server files through the workspace API. LocalWorkspace.add_skill passes the request's skill_path directly to shutil.copytree without confining the source to an approved directory. The unauthenticated API accepts a caller-supplied identity header, but the chosen source must contain a valid SKILL.md before its files become readable in the workspace.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
