Administrator account takeover via wildcard postMessage targetOrigin
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Origin validation error in YOP Poll 7.0.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over an Administrator account. The /auth/wp-login-redirect flow sends a wp_rest nonce to window.opener with postMessage() while using a wildcard targetOrigin. An Administrator must open an attacker-controlled page; the stolen nonce permits email and password changes that yield full account control.
