Unauthenticated internal network access via media URL fetching
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Marqo 2.26.0 allows remote attackers to reach internal services through crafted media field URLs. Within add_documents, download_image_from_url follows redirects with pycurl and fetch_content_sample passes the raw URL to requests.get; neither path filters destination hosts or private, loopback, link-local, or reserved addresses. Because the API binds to all interfaces without authentication by default, a reachable instance exposes a blind reachability oracle and pivot to internal services or cloud metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
