Account disablement via unchecked bulk-delete user IDs
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Authorization bypass in Grokability Snipe-IT before 8.6.3 allows remote authenticated users to soft-delete unauthorized user accounts. The bulk-delete handler accepts user IDs from the request and soft-deletes each referenced account without enforcing instance-level authorization on every target. Access requires an authenticated restricted account with general delete permission; exploitation can disable higher-privileged or cross-company accounts and alter user records.
