Authenticated PHP execution via unsandboxed Twig sort callback
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Code injection in GetGrav Grav 2.0.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP through Twig templates. The GravExtension.php sortFunc wrapper passes false as Twig's sandbox flag, permitting a plain spl_autoload callback that includes attacker-controlled page content. Page-write permission through admin.pages or api.pages.write is sufficient, and execution runs with the web server account's privileges.
