Bot-protection bypass via response-field confusion
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Authentication bypass in Grav Form plugin 8.0.6 through 9.1.19 allows remote attackers to defeat reCAPTCHA v3 bot protection. ReCaptchaProvider lets a submitted response-field name override the configured version, routing a v3 token through the v2 branch without the score threshold or expected-action check. A site must use reCAPTCHA v3; anonymous form submissions can then pass bot validation and trigger configured form actions.
