CVE-2026-8560Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via SwiftShader heap over-read

Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in SwiftShader in Google Chrome on Mac and iOS before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to read memory via crafted HTML. The public record identifies SwiftShader as the locus but does not disclose the faulty buffer operation because the Chromium issue remains restricted. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML, and the documented consequence is an out-of-bounds memory read rather than memory modification or code execution.
