CVE-2026-85583Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Reader file disclosure via followed asset symlinks

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.8.2 allows remote authenticated users with reader access to read files outside the workspace. The reader-accessible file-read endpoint validates a logical path under data/assets but follows its symlink when opening the file, so the check does not constrain the resolved target. Exploitation requires reader access and an asset symlink that resolves beyond the workspace; successful requests disclose the target file bytes.
