Denial of service via unbounded process registration
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Denial of service in SiYuan before 3.8.2 allows remote attackers to exhaust process memory through unauthenticated API requests. The /api/system/uiproc handler registers each supplied identifier in a global in-memory registry without authentication, expiry, or a size limit. Repeated requests with unique identifiers require no account or workspace access and can degrade or deny the kernel service without altering documents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
