Sandboxed code execution via Fonts out-of-bounds write
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Google Chrome's Fonts component before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to execute code inside its sandbox. Google identifies the affected component and memory-write class, but the linked Chromium issue remains restricted and no public patch details name the faulty routine or unchecked font field. A user must load a crafted HTML page; successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled code within the browser sandbox, with no published sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
