Unauthorized post reparenting via unchecked course ownership
Published Oct 10, 2026 · Updated Oct 10, 2026
IDOR in Tutor LMS 4.0.5 through 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to reparent arbitrary posts via course ordering requests. The ordering handler changes post parents without verifying that the supplied posts belong to a course the requester manages. Instructor-level access permits taking another instructor's content into an attacker-controlled course or making published content unreachable.
