Authorization bypass via missing API role enforcement
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Broken access control in Hikvision HikCentral Access Control 2.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke APIs outside their roles. Affected API handlers fail to enforce the caller's assigned role before dispatching requests, contrary to the documented per-request authorization model. A valid low-privilege account is required; Hikvision has not disclosed which interfaces are reachable or the operations they expose.
