CVE-2026-85525Network attack vector

Traffic interception via misbound OCSP responses

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Improper OCSP validation in Snowflake drivers before their fixed releases allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read and modify TLS traffic. The drivers fail to bind responses reliably to the certificate under review and treat definitive verification failures as transient errors. Exploitation requires an on-path position plus the revoked certificate's private key, and impact is confined to data in the intercepted connection.
