Unauthenticated account takeover via client-side redirect
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Missing authorization in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System 1.0 allows remote attackers to take over user accounts. The /admin/session.php guard emits a JavaScript redirect when no session ID exists but does not terminate PHP execution, so protected list and edit pages still disclose user IDs and accept account updates. No login is required; an attacker can replace any user's password, including an administrator's, and then authenticate with the modified credentials.
