Authorization bypass via predictable session identifiers
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Predictable session identifiers in Botslab G980H Dash Cam firmware allow remote attackers on its Wi-Fi network to bypass authorization. The firmware draws session identifiers from a small sequential value space, allowing determination of a valid identifier without authorized credentials. Exploitation requires adjacent network access and knowledge of an active session; a valid identifier grants that session's authorized device functionality.
