Credential disclosure and message forgery via hardcoded key
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Hardcoded-key use in Brocade Active Support Connectivity Gateway before 3.5.0 allows local users to decrypt stored management credentials. The software binaries embed a static key used both for sensitive data at rest and inter-node protocols, allowing extracted key material to authenticate forged administrative synchronization messages. The published assessment requires high local privileges; exploitation depends on extracting the key and accessing protected data or synchronization traffic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
