Sandbox escape via GPU integer overflow
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Integer overflow in Google Chrome's GPU on Linux and ChromeOS before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. The public record identifies only the GPU component and integer-overflow operation; the restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the affected function or arithmetic. Exploitation requires a compromised renderer process and user interaction with crafted HTML, after which the attacker crosses the browser sandbox boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
