Authority confusion via incomplete OAuth2 token cache keys
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Token confusion in Apache Camel HTTP allows attackers to exceed configured authority through reuse of another endpoint's OAuth2 token. OAuth2ClientConfigurer uses a JVM-wide cache whose key omits scope, resource indicator, and token endpoint, conflating distinct token requests. Exposure requires endpoints sharing a JVM, target URI, and client credentials but differing in those omitted fields; requests inherit unintended authority or disclose a token to an unintended recipient.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.18.5
- Affected versionversion=4.19.0 <4.22.1
