Stored XSS via unescaped client email attribute
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Stored XSS in InvoicePlane 1.7.2-beta-1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted client email. The invoice and quote mailer views insert client_email into double-quoted value attributes without escaping quotes, while the client model accepts non-email syntax. An administrator must store the input, mail must be configured, and another authenticated administrator must open the related mailer page; the script can then perform same-origin actions with the victim's session.
