Data deletion via CSRF-unprotected delete endpoints
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
CSRF in InvoicePlane before 1.7.2 allows remote attackers to delete application records through an authenticated administrator's browser. Seven controller delete methods accept cross-origin POST requests without calling ensure_valid_post_request() to verify the CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page, enabling deletion of payments, templates, families, imports, recurring invoices, or user-client links.
