Patient-data disclosure via unchecked payload logging
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
PHI disclosure in Apache Camel MLLP allows attackers to read patient data via HL7 payloads written to application logs. MllpComponent enables logPhi by default, while MllpSocketBuffer.readFrom() and readSocketInputStream() log partial payloads and pre-frame bytes even when it is disabled. Exposure requires MLLP message processing and access to the resulting logs; the flaw does not itself grant log access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.18.5
